Turtle Beach offers a much more low-key destination – and if you visit during turtle nesting season, you might even get a glimpse of some hatchlings! I got a black one with Siesta Key and seashells embroidered on the front.įor the variety and pricing of its merchandise, I rate the Sea Shanty Gift Shop at 4.75 and highly recommend it. The Sea Shanty had a complete line of gifts, souvenirs, beach wear, and beach supplies ~ everything from straw hats, baseball caps, tchotchkes, posters, anklets, bracelets, and other jewelry to sunglasses, coolers, and T-shirts. Around the side of the building in the adjacent parking lot, I discovered the Sea Shanty Gift Shop which is also owned by Meaney’s. In the Sarasota area for several days, I went to Siesta Key one day.Īfter stopping by the Siesta Key Visitor Center & Chamber of Commerce, I went to the center of Siesta Key Village to walk around and then to get soft serve ice cream at Meaney’s Mini Donuts.
